Standing Committees

A standing committee is established when revising and updating specific procedures is required on a continuing basis. The current standing committees are listed below.

Corn Variety Testing Technical Advisory Committee

Charge:

To serve in an advisory role to the Director of MAFES for the continuous improvement of the corn variety testing program. The committee should meet at least once annually to review the research procedures and cultural practices, site selection, data collected, and method and style of data presentation. Minutes of each meeting will be recorded and copies provided to the Director of MAFES and the committee.

Membership:

Members shall include, but not be limited to, the manager of the variety testing program, the corn extension specialist, a representative from experimental statistics, commercial industry representative(s), one member of the Mississippi Seedsmen's Association, and MAFES or MSU-ES personnel located at the various test sites.
